88 Minutes

A psychological thriller on serial murder directed by Jon Avnet. Starred by Al Pacino , Alicia Witt, Leelee Sobieski, William Forsythe, Deborah Kara Unger, Anne Brenneman, Neal McDonough, Ben McKenzie.

It is about an episode in the life of psychology professor acted by Al Pacino. Though, not so heavy character for the actor, still sensible arguments have been put forth by that character. The character and movie does discussion on capital punishment and supports it in certain areas the movie concerned about.
Ethics of a professional is portrayed through the character.

It made me revisit or restructure my idea on capital punishment. It argues some capital punishment should be given at least for the sake of consolation of victim and their relatives.
The very same director comes with similar ideology in his movie "Righteous Kill" in the next year of this movie.

Not so suspense thriller, but sensible.
